Qualifications:	Masters’ degree in information technology, business or related field with at least 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and tasks specified above; doctorate preferred. Knowledge and experience in enterprise-level solutions, systems integration, application architectures, web-based services, network, voice and systems administration; instructional technology, endpoint solutions, data center operations and information security. Must have a record of proven success in positions of increasing responsibility in a highly technical organization; with at least three years at a senior level, an understanding of the mission of academia in public higher education is essential. A thorough knowledge of the academic environment with best practices in technology in a university setting also essential; must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a commitment to diversity. Background and /or credit check required.
Position Description:	Provides broad IT vision, leadership, technical knowledge, and strategic planning; including support to academic and administrative functions. Enhances the financial position of the institution through improved efficiencies and the generation of alternative revenue streams; supports the University’s achievement of increased visibility, enrollment and resources. Develops and implements the University’s vision, strategy and operational plans regarding information technology in all academic and administrative areas; enforces IT governance and ensures compliance with University System, State and federal laws. Provides leadership to IT staff; advises the President on all matters related to information technology. Oversees development and implementation of IT policies and procedures; serves as the IT liaison with other administrators, faculty and offices; with IT officers at other institutions and the IT Services of the University System of Georgia; performs related duties as assigned by the President.
