Join us in Lexington for CBMI 2022 to be held July 24 – 28. Co-sponsored by SACUBO and the University of Kentucky, the College Business Management Institute (CBMI) offers an intensive course of study in business and financial management for administrators of colleges and universities. Ranging from entry level to advanced, approximately 50 courses will be taught during CBMI 2022 by distinguished faculty who are practicing administrators and leaders in their fields.
CBMI is designed to provide participants with an overview of current issues and procedures applicable to institutions of higher education large and small, public and private. Individuals participate in one week of instruction each summer for three years to earn a certificate of completion. Over 530 business officers and administrators, representing 207 institutions from 27 states, attended CBMI in 2021.
There is no prerequisite to attend CBMI.
CBMI is designed to give participants the opportunity to:
- Gain a broader perspective of higher education business administration
- Discuss the latest issues and topics in higher education
- Learn how other institutions deal with administrative problems
- Develop professional relationships with colleagues at other institutions
- Prepare for a promotion
To provide this broad perspective, each course you take may not be specifically related to your field.
