Why Attend?

Attending a SACUBO Fall Workshop is a great way to network with colleagues, share best practices, learn from the experts, and earn continuing professional education credits – all while having a great time! This year’s program will feature nationally-recognized speakers and subject-matter experts on a variety of topics of importance to higher education business professionals.

We hope to see you in Point Clear in October!

Optional Accounting Tracks Offered

The regular program will offer concurrent sessions on a variety of topics of importance to higher education business professionals. In addition, two optional accounting tracks, Public Institutions (GASB/Governmental) and Private Institutions (FASB/NFP), will be offered at the Fall Workshop. The accounting tracks include sessions on Monday and on Tuesday morning. Those attending the accounting track sessions will join other conference attendees for general sessions, breaks, meals, and other events of the Fall Workshop and receive a full 15 hours of CPE.

The accounting tracks have been refreshed and updated for this year’s Fall Workshop based on feedback from SACUBO members and past participants. Cherry Bekaert is partnering with SACUBO members to deliver a curriculum that focuses on both the fundamentals of financial reporting for public and private institutions as well as more advanced topics such as the business of higher education, best practices in internal controls, student financial aid programs, and more. Accounting Track participants will be able to choose between a Public Institution (GASB/Governmental) track or a Private Institution (FASB/NFP) track and will also have the opportunity to participate in joint accounting track sessions that impact both constituent groups.

There are no additional costs for the accounting track programs. Attendees simply choose the appropriate track when registering for the conference.
