Cancellation of Annual Meeting

After closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19), careful consideration of the health and well-being of all those involved, and the challenges we know you are facing at your institutions, the SACUBO Board has decided to cancel our Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX scheduled for May 3-5, 2020. We believe this is in the best interest of our members and the institutions we serve.

A New Option - Possible Virtual Conference

While we regret the need to cancel our Annual Meeting, we are excited to announce we are exploring opportunities to provide members with a virtual conference experience. Our Professional Development Committee had already planned excellent conference sessions that can assist your professional development and help you meet your CPE requirements. With this in mind, we have started the process to determine the feasibility of developing a virtual conference that would provide you access to the most relevant conference sessions in an online format. As additional information and updates become available, we will communicate that to you in the SACUBO monthly newsletters and other emails, on the SACUBO website, and on LinkedIn.

Moving Forward – Important Housekeeping Items

  • 1. The San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter will assist attendees who made reservations within the SACUBO hotel room block by canceling those reservations. If you do not receive a cancellation notice within a week, please contact the hotel. If you made reservations outside of the SACUBO hotel room block or at another property, please make sure to cancel your reservations.

  • 2. Please cancel any travel reservations. Be sure to check with your airline as many are currently waiving change fees. SACUBO is not able to cover any cancellation penalties.

  • 3. Conference registration fees will be refunded automatically. All registration refunds will be processed within 60 days through the registrant’s original method of payment. There is no need to contact SACUBO to initiate this refund.

Thank You for Your Commitment to SACUBO

Thank you to all registrants, speakers, members, business partners, exhibitors, Professional Development & Annual Meeting Host Committees, and the SACUBO Board for your dedication to SACUBO’s mission to provide access to relevant, quality professional development opportunities to higher education business officers. In these difficult times, it is important to be equipped with the resources and tools to lead our institutions. We are confident in our ability to continue to develop programs that will benefit both you and your campuses as we navigate these changing times together.

Sincerely,

Russ Hannah
