Lexington is situated at the intersection of two major interstates: I-75 and I-64. Lexington is easily accessible by car or plane and is within 600 miles of 75% of the U.S. population. Although Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport (LEX) is served by many airlines, the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) is approximately 80 miles north on I-75, and the Louisville International Airport (SDF) is approximately 80 miles west on I-64.

Griffin Gate Marriott does not provide shuttle service.

From Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport (LEX), alternate transportation includes Wildcat Taxi and Yellow Cab Company – reservations are required. Estimated taxi fare is $28 (one way).

Lexington Climate

Fall temperatures in Lexington can range from comfortable to chilly. Highs in November tend to run in the mid 50s, with lows falling into the 30s at night. Lexington typically receives a little over 3½ inches of precipitation in November.

Layered clothing is best. Long or short sleeves are recommended, but have a sweater or light jacket available since it may be cool in the meeting rooms and at night. Casual business attire is suitable for all meeting sessions and receptions.
